I love your trailer, BZ. Can you disclose the process behind that? BTW, my Maggie has a “boat” too that she lounges on after dinner. It is composed of many layers: a fake sherpa dog bed on the bottom,:a down king size pillow stolen from a hotel, my deceased father’s thermal long sleeve undershirt, my mother’s old girdles, her old nylons slips, my grimy blue jeans, snagged black fishnet tights.

Aw, thanks, Roberta. I hired someone at a very reasonable price to make it–John Ray Gutierrez of Big Burrito Media. I love him–he’s crazy, and he’s worked at HBO. I did some of the filming for him with my iPhone, believe it or not. My god–what a boat. It sounds kind of disgusting–just what a dog would love! xb

I’m so excited this thread is about your book! Meant to get back here much earlier, but I’ve been having a cat emergency all day–driving back and forth to the vet. He’s just fine, but something large bit him. . . .So glad you like the video. That was my sister Karen reading the boats scene. I read the one about the dog Tinker missing. Very sad what has happened to him in the story “Black Friday” that’s in the book. Thanks for coming by!

Deep Sea Dive is so fabulous! The skittering, the suckling, the nuzzling under the arm for sleep space. The bloody nose detail! I love the “let’s be calm, yet frenetic” pace of this. Also, I love that they are all rescue puppers and kitties. Really great story, Bonnie! Congratulations on the chapbook!
