Such a great reading this turned out to be. Steve and Dan Bern were so funny together. You could tell they were old friends. The two talented man took turns–first Steve would read something, then Dan would sing something. I’d never been introduced to Dan Bern’s work before, and thoroughly loved his work. Will have to look out for when he might be down in San Diego. There’s some Bob Dylan in his voice, but also a lot of his own character. Both men read and talked about their young daughters. I loved the whole event.
