New Mini-Documentary about North Park

South Park’s own Rebecca’s Coffeehouse will host this extraordinary multi-media even at 4:00 p.m. on May 10th.  Free. in this never-before-seen mini-documentary on North Park, locals confide , about what they love about the place as well as how they and their families were affected by the crash of PSA Flight 182 in 1978, which forever changed this eclectic neighborhood. Includes never-before-seen photos. Segments by Jay Turner, Michael Bagnas, Myra Pelowski, Dick Cummins, Judy Reeves, David Fresnia, and Rick Hernandez. Produced by Melanie Peters and Bonnie ZoBell.

  • Bonnie ZoBell’s new collection ties directly to the mini-documentary. What Happened Here: a novella & stories, is set in North Park & about the neighbors with the the crash of PSA Flight 182 as a backdrop.  She has received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in fiction, the Capricorn Novel Award, and a PEN Syndicated Fiction Award.  She received an MFA from Columbia University on fellowship, and currently teaches at San Diego Mesa College.
